Sales Associate Courses (Online)

Florida Real Estate Principles, Practices & Law 63-Hour Course with Timed Exam
The sales associate pre-licensing course consists of real estate principles, practices, and Florida real estate license law. The course covers all the subject matter prescribed by the Florida Real Estate Commission as a prerequisite to making application to take the state examination for SALES ASSOCIATE. The tuition is $245.

After completing the online prelicensing course, online students may wish to purchase the On-Demand State Exam Prep for Florida Real Estate Sales Associates to prepare for the state exam. The course includes a basic review of the material contained in the required pre-licensing course, multiple-choice review questions, and "tips" for taking the state examination. A PDF of the State Exam Review Booklet is provided with the purchase. Students can access the on-demand material for three months from the purchase date.

45-Hour Post-Licensing Education for Real Estate Sales Associates
This 45-hour course is designed to be a practical "nuts-and-bolts, how-to" course for a real estate sales associate. Selected topics include the law of agency, misrepresentation in real estate, appraising real property, competitive market analysis, obtaining listings, preparing and making listing presentations, marketing a listing, preparing real estate contracts, FHA, VA, and conventional financing, and closing real estate transactions. The tuition is $149.

14 Hour Florida Continuing Education Course for Real Estate Professionals
A new, interactive approach to the Florida bi-annual 14-hour CE requirement. This course offers timely information for licensees in short, lively lessons, with interspersed progress tests and contains all new license law and FREC rule changes. The tuition is $24.95.

 

28 Hour Reactivation Education Course for Brokers and Sales Associates
This course fulfills the Florida Real Estate Commission's 28-hour reactivation course requirement for brokers and sales associates who have held an involuntary inactive Florida real estate license for more than 12 months but fewer than 24 months. The tuition is $95.

72-Hour Broker Pre-License Course
The broker course covers: getting started in the real estate brokerage business, valuing real property, listing and selling real property, and real estate specialties. The course covers all the subject matter prescribed by the Florida Real Estate Commission as a prerequisite to making application to take the State Examination for REAL ESTATE BROKER. The tuition is $399.

 

Florida Real Estate Brokerage: A Management Guide
A practical course designed to assist a new broker in planning, opening and staffing an office. The tuition is $175.

 

Florida Essentials of Real Estate Investment
A practical understanding of the real estate investment process. Students purchase, develop and sell a model property. The tuition is $175.

 

14 Hour Florida Broker Continuing Education Course for Real Estate Professionals

Mortgage Broker Courses (Online Courses)

20-Hour Mortgage Loan Originator SAFE Comprehensive
Hours: 20

Florida Real Estate Institute has partnered with the Association of Mortgage Educators (NMLS Provider ID:1400214) to offer online SAFE MLO Pre-licensing, NMLS Approved Continuing Education, and SAFE MLO Exam Preparation.

This course covers topics required by the SAFE Act: Federal lending legislation (3 hrs), ethics (3 hrs), and nontraditional mortgage products (2 hrs). Also included are 12 hours of elective topics to provide a broad understanding of key concepts. No additional charges - we take care of the NMLS Banking fees! The tuition is $329.00.

8 Hour SAFE Comprehensive: The Informed MLO (#4704)
Hours: 8

This course satisfies the annual continuing education requirements for mortgage loan originators set forth by the SAFE Act. Included are two-hours on nontraditional lending discussing ARMs and seller financing. Two required hours of ethics provide an introduction to mortgage fraud. The three-hour law requirement reviews federal law, including the impacts of Dodd-Frank, TILA, and RESPA. The on-hour elective examines examples of mortgage industry violations.

Real Estate & Taxes: What Every Agent Should Know
Tax issues can have a dramatic impact on a real estate transaction. Real estate licensees are expected to have a basic knowledge of the current, fundamental tax issues explained in this course. Certified by the Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) (6 hours)

In this course, students learn vital information to help their clients navigate the complexities of real estate tax issues. Topics include: the home mortgage interest deduction, computing gains and losses, the exclusion rule for gain on the sale of a principal residence, passive loss rules and real estate professionals, and home-office rules.
